I admit, it’s wild. Wild and absolutely wonderful.
Here’s how it goes…
Each month Wildgrain will list the breads, pastries & pasta in each box. You can choose between a Mixed Box (bread, pasta & pastries) or a Bakery Box (bread & pastries). After your first order, you’ll be able to substitute items in your box.
I received The Mixed Box. I received 3 sourdough loaves, 2 packages of hand cut pasta, apple pie bites & croissants.
You can set up delivery monthly, every 2 weeks or every 6 weeks. You can also skip delivery at anytime.
Who Makes The Breads?
The sourdough breads, pastries & pasta are all handcrafted with love and care by small bakeries nationwide.
The Delivery Process
The delivery process is simple.
You’ll get an email or text when your box ships. Tracking info will be included so you’ll know when to expect it.
You’ll get an email when your box is delivered. You do not need to be home for the delivery.
Everything arrives frozen – it’s packed in an insulated box with dry ice. Carefully unpack the box (mind the dry ice) and get your goodies in the freezer.
The Baking Process
Here’s where it gets even more wild!
The bread & pastries go straight from your freezer to the oven – no thawing!
The bread loaf is already formed – so there’s nothing more you need to do. No kneading, no shaping – just take it out of the bag & bake!
Everything bakes in 25 minutes or less.
Getting bread on the table has never been so easy!

My Experience With Sourdough Bread & Why I Love Wildgrain
Sourdough bread is easily my favorite bread. I’m an avid baker and bake bread a few times a week.
So why would a baker love Wildgrain? Because this baker here has rather unfortunate luck with sourdough.
I’ve put to rest more sourdough starters than I’d like to admit. After feeding my family, my dogs, my chickens, sometimes my bees (oh, and myself) – I sadly neglect that faithful jar of starter on my counter.
Sourdough bread takes time to rise, and often my planning is off. Or my timing is off – and that loaf won’t be ready for dinner. I have good intentions…but….
So I may not be that much of a successful sourdough bread baker – but I sure do love to eat it. Not only do I love the taste of sourdough – I love all the health benefits of fermented foods.
Wildgrain has been a great addition to my family meals. This is a great subscription box for any bread loving household & would make a wonderful gift to bread lovers.
