This Cheesy Refried Bean Dip is for all the refried bean lovers. Warm, cheesy & super thick. Made with beans, salsa, shredded cheese, cream cheese & sour cream. Serve with tortilla chips.
Prep Time 5 minutes mins
Cook Time 35 minutes mins
- 16 ounce can refried beans
- 2 cups shredded cheese I use Mexican Blend
- 1 cup salsa
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened half a block of cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- tortilla chips to serve
- scallions, jalapenos, black olives optional, to serve
Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease/spray an oven proof dish(es)
In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine all ingredients.
Bake for 30 - 35 minutes.
Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
You can use one baking dish or multiple smaller dishes. I often use multiple dishes for dips when I have company (think football) so I can keep a few warm in the oven. Note that cooking times will lessen if using smaller dishes.
Use your favorite salsa. I prefer "medium" salsa for a little heat.
If your cream cheese isn't softened, remove from wrapper, place on a microwave-safe dish and microwave at reduced heat setting (30%) for 30 second intervals.
