An honest review of GATSBY Chocolate. Two BIG takeaways here – GATSBY is a low-carb, keto-friendly chocolate & you can try it yourself for FREE…read on!

GATSBY Chocolate – Low Calorie, Low Sugar, Low Carb – Keto Friendly

The BIG takeaway here is that Gatsby Chocolate is a keto friendly chocolate.

Although I don’t follow a low-carb/keto diet, I do write about it often & share keto recipes. These have been well received by you – many of my readers.

There’s a large population of people happily living a keto lifestyle. Sometimes, like us all, they want chocolate.

It’s important to note that keto friendly also has big meaning to those living with diabetes as well.

You don’t have to be keto to want a low sugar, low calorie chocolate. We all have reasons, unique to each of us, for wanting low sugar foods. Be it health, diet, fitness – many of us are on our own unique journey.

So anyhow let’s break down the stats:

Gatsby Chocolate is the first and only low-calorie chocolate – it has half the calories of even sugar-free brands
• Low sugar: 90% less sugar than premium chocolate brands
• Low-fat: 90% less fat than premium chocolate brands
• Keto-friendly: only 1–2 grams of net carbs per serving, or 6 grams of
net carbs for an entire bar

Who & What is GATSBY Chocolate

Have you heard of Halo Top Ice Cream?

I saw Halo Top Ice Cream everywhere on social media before I even knew it existed. It took the foodie & nutritional community by storm!

Halo Top Ice Cream is a light ice cream that actually tastes like real ice cream. With loads of flavors & varieties – it changed the frozen dessert world. It’s actually the best selling pint in America.

GATSBY Chocolate was created by the cofounders of Halo Top ice cream. They spent over a year working on the recipe to create a “great tasting” and “low calorie” chocolate.

Taste, Texture & Thoughts

A package of GATSBY Almond Dark bars was delivered to my door. Yay!

As a former chocolatier (seriously) the first things I did after appreciating & opening the packing were the gloss check and the snap test.

The chocolate bar itself is gorgeous and meets the gloss esthetic of a chocolate bar.

You will not get the snap from a room temperature bar, simply because it is not true tempered chocolate. BUT – if you need that snap – you can refrigerate it and happily snap away.

Personally, I preferred the chocolate bars taste & texture at room temperature. You might like it refrigerated or frozen – to each chocolate lover their own.

The taste & texture are similar to a dark, high cocoa bar. Most important to me – there is no funky artificial sweetener taste.

GATSBY Varieties

Peanut Butter Cups – Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate & White Chocolate

Sea Salt Extra Dark Chocolate Bar

Cookies & Cream Bar

Fudge Brownie Bar

Oh, and there’s more – you can check them all out at GATSBY.

I’m planning to try those Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups ASAP!

Can It Be Used As A Dipping Chocolate?

Of course I had to try melting & dipping this chocolate!

Worked perfectly!

I broke the chocolate into pieces and microwaved in 20 second intervals. (20 seconds, stir, 20 seconds, stir) It took about 45 seconds for 4 broken pieces to melt.

I dipped strawberries & pretzels. It dipped, set & tastes wonderful!

Overall Thoughts On GATSBY Chocolate

Honestly, I have to admit – GATSBY Chocolate is an impressive product.

The Almond Dark Bar actually tastes like a dark chocolate bar. It’s low sugar without that off taste from artificial sweeteners.

After a piece or two of this chocolate bar – any chocolate craving you may have will be satisfied. Absolutely recommend trying this chocolate if you’re trying to consume less sugar!

Hope you enjoy!
