This honey martini is a sweet & simple cocktail. Sweetened by raw honey and balanced with fresh lemon juice – it’s the cocktail for all honey lovers!
I LOVE a good cocktail. I love a good vodka cocktail. Out of all the spirits, vodka is easily my favorite. The combinations & creations that can be made with this liquor are endless.
What I don’t like are overly sweet, syrupy, bitter or artificial tasting cocktails. A proper cocktail is made best with a few simple & fresh ingredients.
My inspiration for this drink was simple. I have loads of raw, local honey on my hands. What better way to enjoy it than a crisp cocktail!?
This honey martini has just three simple ingredients – vodka, honey & lemon juice. Chances are you already have these three ingredients!
Mixing this drink is straight forward – combine it all with ice and shake. The only thing that needs to be mentioned – honey is not going to mix well with ice. You’re hands will be frozen trying to shake to combine – and it still won’t be blended.
Simple solution – microwave the honey for 5 seconds. Add it to the vodka, ice & lemon juice – shake, strain – and you’re ready to sip away.
I use a one ounce measuring glass for single cocktails – all the easier for throwing in the microwave. One like this. Just make sure it has measurements in ounces as well as teaspoons/tablespoons.
This cocktail is made to be sweet and simple. For a simple variation – try using honey harvested during different seasons or foraged from specific flowers or plants.
Hope you enjoy! Cheers!

Not bad, but I think equal parts lemon and honey would work better. Made this as is and the lemon was almost too overpowering. Added some honey liqueur to balance it out
