Warm Gooey Brie and Fruit Butter in a Buttery Quesadilla. A simple and delicious sweet treat for cheese lovers!
I love food. I’m not shy about my affection for good food and quite often express love for my favorites. Bread, cheese, butter, dark chocolate and wine – oh, I could eat them every day for the rest of my life and never grow tired. I’d die a happy and extra plump woman 🙂
Brie cheese. It’s the perfect cheese. It’s my all time, absolute favorite cheese. It is fabulous alone or when paired with simple ingredients.
I emphasize simple. Quite often you’ll see the most wonderful ingredients being lost into over complicated recipes. It’s quite a shame, almost a waste.
I love brie in it’s most simple form – smeared on a piece of fresh, crusty bread. When I need a bit of variety in my relationship with brie I’ll eat it with apple or pear slices or coat it in walnuts and give it a quick baking. It’s simple and still all about the brie.
Cheese lovers will appreciate brie being worked into a dessert using flavors that compliment and not overpower the brie. I paired a double creme brie with a spoonful of creamy, flavorful Pear Butter from Kauffman’s Fruit Farm into a flour tortilla and browned it in some butter.
Voilà! Such a quick, easy and basic dessert yet so delicious. The warm gooey cheese with the creamy pear butter in a buttery tortilla crust is a match made in Cheese Utopia. Not a fan of pears? This would also be wonderful with an apple butter.
I hope you enjoy these Brie & Pear Butter Dessert Quesadillas. It’s a pleasent reminder of how simple pantry ingredients can be transformed into unexpectedly beautiful and delicious desserts. If you haven’t before, I bet you’ll be using tortillas in desserts more often 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Cooking!

I think we should start a group called Brie Lovers Anonymous 😉 I love all cheese but brie has a special place in my heart 😉 This dessert is everything and I agree would work great with apple or any other fruit flavor. A life of bread, cheese, butter, dark chocolate and wine? Where do I sign-up?!?! Love this post Amanda!
Thanks Liz! I’ll graciously accept the the VP spot in the group! This shall be a group to celebrate our love of brie, not to overcome it 🙂
